Susan Song

Susan Song started to practice law in Missouri in 2011 and joined the firm in 2014 as an Associate Attorney. Currently, Susan concentrates her practice on business immigration issues, including employer compliance and individual employment based immigration. She also counsels Chinese companies investing in the United States and helps with their employees’ immigration visas.

In 2005 Susan earned her Bachelor’s degree in Law from the prestigious Wuhan University School of Law, one of the best law schools in China. She also earned her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City (“UMKC”) School of Law in 2009. At UMKC, she was a summer intern at Husch Blackwell Sanders LLP Kansas City office and then a summer associate at Jones Day LLP Beijing office. After law school, she interned at the United Nations ICTY at the Hague, Netherlands, where she worked on high-profile cases of war crimes. Prior to joining the firm, Susan was an in-house attorney at a Corporation in Kansas City, where she worked extensively on business related issues.

Ms. Song is fluent in Mandarin. She enjoys travel and learning cultures from different countries.
