Leah Lewsader

Leah Lewsader joined the firm in 2021 as an associate attorney. Practicing primarily humanitarian-based immigration, her clients include asylum seekers, survivors of human trafficking, and unaccompanied children facing deportation.

Leah graduated from the University of Kansas School of Law in 2021. At KU, she represented clients through the Legal Aid Clinic and Medical – Legal Partnership. Leah also interned with Legal Aid of Western Missouri working with their Migrant Farmworkers Project and served as a Policy Fellow for Missouri Senator, Lauren Arthur. Upon graduation, she received Pro-Bono Distinction for providing more than 200 hours of unpaid legal service. Before law school, Leah spent six years teaching elementary school in Santiago, Chile.

Leah is fluent in Spanish and a proud member of the LBTQ+ bar.
