Sam joined the firm as an associate attorney in 2024. Sam grew up in the border cities of Ciudad Juárez, Mexico and El Paso, Texas. She earned her undergraduate degree in Finance and International Business from the University of Texas at El Paso. After that, Sam moved to Kansas to start at the University of Kansas School of Law. At KU Law, Sam was president of the International Law Society and vice president of the Hispanic American Law Students Association. Along with her J.D., Sam earned the International Trade and Finance Certificate at KU Law and participated in the Mediation Clinic through a partnership with the United Nations Institute for Training and Research.
During law school, Sam completed two internships focused on immigration law. She spent a summer interning at Diocesan Migrant and Refugee Services, Inc., in El Paso, Texas and working for an immigration law firm in Lawrence, Kansas. In summer 2020, she worked for Farmworker Legal Services, a Michigan-based organization that helps migrant and seasonal farmworkers to fight against employer injustice, until she graduated from law school. Prior to starting at McCrummen and McCullick Immigration, Sam practiced family law in Wichita, Kansas. Sam is passionate about immigration law and strives to assist individuals in navigating the immigration process.
In her free time, Sam enjoys traveling with her husband, hiking, reading fiction and fantasy books, and cooking.
